Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Ensure the proper volume of detergent and washing products is used
Sort and count articles removed from dryers, then fold, wrap, or hang them
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the laundry closet
Operate extractors, dryers, and blower fans as needed
Inspect soiled articles to determine sources of stains
Determine spotting procedures and proper solvents based on fabric and stain types
Iron or press articles using hand irons or pressing machines
Communicate with staff to identify needs for guest linens
Track and record all loads washed and dried
Required Qualifications
Basic math skills
Effective communication skills
Ability to work effectively with others
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Six months' laundry worker experience in a hotel or other high-volume location preferred
