Job Description
Join Zen Educate as an Assistant Teacher - SPED and support K–12 special education students in a positive classroom environment. Gain valuable experience while helping students achieve their full potential through tailored academic and behavioral support.
Key Responsibilities
Assist classroom teachers with academic adaptations and IEPs
Work with students individually or in small groups
Maintain a safe and conducive classroom environment
Provide support for students in crisis situations
Utilize various learning methods to enhance engagement
Required Qualifications
60 college credits or higher or passing score on relevant assessments
Professional proficiency in English
U.S. Work Authorization
Prior experience working with children in a structured setting (asset)
Preferred Qualifications
ParaPro Certification
Behavioral Technician or PCA experience
Past work experience in a school setting with children with special needs
