Position Overview

Join a mission-driven health system as the Medical Director for Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) in Muskegon, MI. This is a full-time leadership role combining advanced clinical care with regional oversight of a growing MFM program. The position offers the chance to lead in a dyad model alongside administrative leaders, while also practicing in a highly collaborative, high-acuity environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide physician leadership for the regional MFM service line

  • Collaborate with OB/GYN medical directors across multiple sites

  • Drive quality outcomes, service excellence, and strategic program growth

  • Deliver advanced care for high-risk pregnancies and fetal complications

  • Perform robotic and laparoscopic procedures (da Vinci )

  • Mentor medical students and residents

  • Promote colleague engagement and cost-effective care delivery

  • Coordinate multidisciplinary care with OBs, Neonatologists, and surgical teams

Clinical Scope Includes
  • Comprehensive OB care: pre-conceptual planning, prenatal/postnatal care, and deliveries

  • Robotic-assisted and laparoscopic gynecologic surgeries

  • Management of endometriosis, pelvic pain, infertility, hormonal disorders

  • Menopause care, urinary incontinence, and pelvic reconstruction

  • Evaluation of abnormal pap smears and chronic gynecologic conditions

Requirements
  • Board Certified/Eligible in OB/GYN and Maternal Fetal Medicine Required
    (If BE, must obtain BC within 2 years of eligibility)

  • Minimum 5 years of MFM clinical experience Required

  • 2+ years of leadership experience or formal training Preferred

  • Active Michigan medical license (or ability to obtain) Required

  • Current DEA, BLS, ACLS Required
