Job Description
As an Intensive Outpatient Counselor at Kaiser, you'll provide vital counseling, engagement, and case management services to individuals struggling with substance use disorders. Join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to supporting members through their recovery journey, delivering high-quality clinical services while maintaining best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Provide clinical services (individual, group, and family) to members with substance use disorders
Document member care in the electronic medical record
Provide case management and coordinate care with other providers and agencies
Participate in program development and process improvement activities
Required Qualifications
Masters level degree in counseling, social work, or closely related field
Minimum one year working in a substance use disorder treatment setting
Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee Certification or equivalent license required at hire
National Provider Identifier required at hire
Preferred Qualifications
Two years of post-masters experience in substance use disorder treatment
Experience working in an integrated healthcare setting
Experience or specialized training in treating adolescents
Experience in family therapy
Experience in treating trauma
Experience with Motivational Interviewing techniques
Experience working with interdisciplinary treatment teams
