Bethesda Health is seeking a Nurse Educator to develop and implement orientation and in-service education programs, focusing on regulatory issues and staff development. The role includes overseeing infection prevention measures and fostering a culture of continuous learning and quality care.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement orientation programs for new employees
Conduct General Orientation incorporating relevant regulations
Coordinate and monitor orientation activities
Develop lesson plans and conduct in-service education programs
Implement infection prevention and control programs
Provide education to staff, residents, and families
Participate in quality improvement activities
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
Current RN license in the state of employment
CPR/AED certification required or willing to obtain within six months
Minimum of five years of recent clinical nursing experience required
Ability to manage time and organize daily schedule
Good communication skills and ability to teach adults
Preferred Qualifications
BSN or related baccalaureate preparation in education
Certified as a CPR instructor
Certified as an Instructor for the Missouri Nurse Assistant Training program
Educational and supervisory/management experience
Previous experience in long-term care
