We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a travel assignment in the Birthplace unit. The nurse will provide safe, high-quality care to mothers and newborns during the antepartum and postpartum periods. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, the ability to respond quickly to changes in maternal and neonatal conditions, and experience guiding patients and families through the birth process.Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care to mothers and newborns during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods
Perform assessments, develop care plans, and implement evidence-based interventions
Monitor patients’ conditions and respond promptly to emergencies or complications
Educate and support patients and families throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum care
Maintain a safe environment for patients, families, and staff
Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure quality outcomes
Direct and support other nursing personnel in patient care activities
Escalate patient concerns via the chain of command when necessary to ensure safety and well-being
Qualifications:
Current and valid RN license in the state of practice (required)
Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience (required)
BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) (required)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification (required)
Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
Schedule:
Shift: 19:00–07:30 (12-hour nights)
