Key Responsibilities
Supervise and manage nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care
Staff scheduling and resident assessments
Conduct care plan reviews and staff development
Communicate with the Director of Nursing regarding patient care and staff issues
Develop measurable staff goals and encourage professionalism
Direct and manage direct patient care using sound nursing judgment
Implement and document resident/family teaching relevant to health care needs
Required Qualifications
Current RN license in the state you will be working
Three to five years of long-term care experience or similar nursing experience
Excellent communication skills
Ability to manage time and organize daily schedule
Ability to stand and walk for long periods
Ability to lift heavy objects using proper lifting techniques
Ability to transfer and move residents weighing 200+lbs
Manual dexterity and coordination
Ability to perform necessary documentation
Visual acuity
Ability to manage a diversity of activities
Preferred Qualifications
Two years of long-term care supervisory experience preferred
