Job Description: Operating Room RN
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position involves working in a fast-paced environment where you will provide high-quality care to adult patients, with minimal pediatric exposure.
Shift Information
- Shift: 06:30 - 16:30
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Weekend Requirements: Call coverage 7 days per month (including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
Unit Information
- Department: Operating Room
- Number of Beds: 13
- Patient Ratios: 1 RN per patient
- Equipment: Robotics (Davinci), Mako, Holmium Laser, Hana table
- EHR: Cerner
- Patient Population: Adults, minimal pediatric (outpatient only)
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients in the operating room.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain a sterile environment and follow best practices for surgical safety.
- Document patient care accurately and timely within the electronic health record system.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new staff as required.
Requirements
- Education: RN with ADN or BSN
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of operating room experience required; prior experience in Ortho or Neuro preferred.
- Certifications: Active RN license
- Float Requirements: None
Dress Code
Scrubs are provided by the facility; outside attire not laundered by the hospital is not acceptable.
