Job Description

Join Boeing as a Mechanical Analysis and Strength Engineer, where you'll perform structural analysis and support the design of mechanical ground support equipment for military aircraft maintenance. This role offers opportunities for professional growth and collaboration within a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

Derive static loads using free-body diagrams
Perform structural analysis on components using hand calculations and FEA
Work with design engineers to incorporate design changes
Create strength reports documenting analysis results
Evaluate supplier hardware non-conformances
Participate in peer design reviews

Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related fields
2 or more years' related work experience
Understanding of free-body diagrams and structural loads
Knowledge of conducting structural analysis using various analytical methods
Knowledge of engineering fundamentals such as material properties, mechanisms, welding

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of higher education and/or related work experience
Experience using free-body diagrams and structural loads
Experience performing finite element analysis (FEA)
Experience analyzing mechanical hardware
Experience analyzing welded structures
Experience with mechanical ground support equipment
Ability to communicate and work on a team
Attention to detail
