Birch Agency is seeking Teacher of the Visually Impaired to join our team.
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired to join our team and work in the Long Valley, NJ area. As a teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds and futures of our students. Your responsibilities will include creating engaging lesson plans, providing instruction, and fostering a positive learning environment. Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
* Provide instruction in various subjects, adapting teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students
* Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and growth
* Assess student progress and provide feedback on their academic performance
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve instructional materials
* Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a productive learning environment
* Provide guidance and support to students, acting as a mentor and role model
* Collaborate with parents/guardians to address student needs and concerns
* Stay updated on current educational practices and trends

Qualifications:
* NJ Teacher of the Visually Impaired Certified
* Experience working with students in an educational setting
* Strong knowledge of childhood development principles
* Proficiency in instructional design and curriculum development
* Familiarity with classroom management techniques
* Experience working with students who have special needs (e.g., visually impaired education, speech therapy)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to mentor and inspire students
