Job Description

Join Providence as a Pharmacy Program Specialist, where you'll play a crucial role in supporting pharmacy services and ensuring safe medication practices. Your expertise in sterile compounding and inventory management will directly impact patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and assist in the coordination of Pharmacy Services activities
  • Preparation of sterile compounds both hazardous and non-hazardous
  • Inventory management of drugs and infusion supplies
  • Ordering, stocking, and receiving of medications and supplies
  • Maintain and stock automated dispensing machines
  • Diligent record keeping of drug compounding and waste records

Required Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma or GED
  • Washington Pharmacy Technician License upon hire
  • Minimum of 3 years of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system or sterile compounding experience and PTCB certification
  • 4 years of experience if technician does not have PTCB certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pharmacy technician program coursework/training
  • Sterile compounding (and hazardous drug) coursework
  • Specialty certification (e.g. ACPE approved sterile compounding certification)
  • PTCB certificate in Hazardous Drug Management
  • Oncology experience, hospital work experience
