• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
• Ability to complete and clear all pre-employment screenings
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Must reside at least 60 miles from Sylva, NC to qualify as a travel nurse

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients in the Emergency Department
• Assess, triage, and monitor patients with acute and urgent medical conditions
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed
• Collaborate with physicians, healthcare providers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document all patient care activities in the electronic medical record
• Educate and support patients and their families regarding care plans and discharge instructions
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment in accordance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations
