Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Night Shift) Position Summary

Cone Health is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN to join its high-volume ED team. This role involves caring for patients of all ages in a STEMI and Stroke Certified facility. Nurses will manage trauma, behavioral health, and medical emergencies in a fast-paced environment.

Key Requirements

• Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years required
  • First-time travelers accepted
• Certifications:
  • Required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
  • Preferred: STARR/Behavioral population experience
• Skills Required:
  • IV therapy and phlebotomy
  • Blood product administration
  • Procedural sedation and IV vasopressors
  • Ventilator management and ABG interpretation
  • Neurological and trauma care (CVA, TBI, spinal cord injury)
  • Pediatric emergency care
  • Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
  • Triage and isolation precautions
• EMR: Epic (experience required)
• Travel Experience: Not required
