Key Responsibilities

  • Prepares, seasons and cooks various foods for consumption.
  • Reviews menus and production schedules to determine quantities needed.
  • Plans cooking schedule in conjunction with supervisor.
  • Ensures all foods meet standards for quality of taste and temperature.
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation areas.
  • Participates in job-related training and in-service education.

Required Qualifications

  • Less than one year of previous job-related experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • 1-2 years of previous job-related experience
  • Culinary training acquired through culinary school or years of experience in institutional setting
