Job Description

As a Navy Chaplain, you will provide spiritual support to Sailors and Marines, offering guidance during their most challenging and joyful moments. You'll conduct services, perform ceremonies, and advise leadership on spiritual well-being, all while enjoying competitive benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct worship services in a variety of settings
  • Perform religious rites and ceremonies such as weddings and funerals
  • Counsel individuals seeking guidance
  • Oversee religious education programs
  • Visit and provide spiritual guidance to hospitalized personnel
  • Train lay leaders for religious education programs
  • Promote attendance at religious services
  • Advise leaders on morale, ethics, and spiritual well-being

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. citizen or equivalent
  • Graduate degree in theological or related studies from an accredited institution
  • Two years of full-time religious leadership experience
  • Ability to obtain an Ecclesiastical Endorsement from a registered religious faith organization
