Must have 2+ years of experience in Fetal Monitoring, mother/baby dyads and OB triage
Must have BLS, ACLS AHA Certification

Job Title: RN Labor and Delivery

Job Requirements:

Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, contraction patterns, and overall labor progression, using fetal monitoring equipment and clinical assessment skills.
Provide continuous support to laboring patients, including education, comfort measures, emotional encouragement, and pain management interventions.
Assist physicians and midwives during vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and obstetrical emergencies, ensuring sterile technique and timely response to complications.
Administer medications, IV fluids, and epidurals as ordered, while closely observing patient responses.
Perform newborn assessments immediately after birth, ensuring stable transition and facilitating skin-to-skin bonding.
Educate mothers and families on postpartum care, breastfeeding, newborn safety, and discharge instructions.
Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
Respond swiftly to obstetric emergencies such as preeclampsia, hemorrhage, precipitous labor, fetal distress, and shoulder dystocia.
Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, pediatrics, and ancillary staff to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
Maintain a safe and sterile environment following infection prevention, hospital policies, and regulatory guidelines.
Participate in fetal monitoring competency, annual training, and ongoing professional development.
