**Job Description: MS Float RN (Registered Nurse)**
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced MS Float RN to join our dynamic medical-surgical team. This position will involve floating between three units on a night shift schedule of 4x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00). You will have the opportunity to work in an environment that prioritizes patient-centered care and collaborates closely with an interdisciplinary team.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients on a 34-bed medical-surgical unit with telemetry capabilities.
- Float between designated units as per staffing needs, ensuring smooth and effective care delivery.
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:5-7 during shifts, ensuring effective and safe care for all patients.
- Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient management.
- Perform a variety of nursing procedures, including blood product administration, central line care, chest tube management, and interpretation of dysrhythmias.
- Collaborate with clinical nurse coordinators, unit clerks, and patient care technicians to optimize patient flow and care delivery.
- Participate in daily huddles and rounding on patients as part of the interdisciplinary support team.
**Qualifications:**
- Active RN License (West Virginia or Compact License accepted; pending license acceptable).
- Minimum of two years of nursing experience, with a strong background in medical-surgical nursing.
- Current certifications in BCLS and NIH required; ACLS certification preferred.
- Experience with telemetry and an understanding of a variety of patient diagnoses in a medical-surgical environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Documentation of a minimum of two manager or charge references within the past two years.
**Shift Details:**
- Night shift: 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00.
- Commitment to work 3 shifts per 4-week period on weekdays and weekends.
