Perform diagnostic radiological exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment Verify patient identity and review medical records Interview patients to obtain medical history and assess risk factors Explain procedures to patients, including side effects and follow-up Set up equipment and acquire appropriate images Review images and document exceptions from established protocols Recognize and respond to medical emergencies Provide post-care instructions to patients Participate in process improvement activities Provide imaging education to residents and new employees Take call/standby as required Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography (R) American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BLS) training
