Join NewYork-Presbyterian as a Licensed Mechanic/Engineer, where you will ensure the efficient operation of critical hospital facilities. Key Responsibilities
Ensure efficient operation of equipment and utilities for hospital facilities
Inspect buildings, grounds, and systems for maintenance
Maintain and monitor hot water, steam, utilities, and fire safety systems
Evaluate situations and make referrals as necessary
Inspect, monitor, and test mechanical systems
Respond and resolve minor plumbing issues
Make emergency repairs to prevent interruptions of utility services
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Vocational high school graduate with a minimum of two years of plumbing courses or equivalent
Minimum of four (4) years of general maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC
Experience with shop tools, pipe threading, electric drills, rotary hammers, steam pressure reducing valve stations
Ability to interpret plumbing, electrical and mechanical blueprints
Preferred Qualifications
New York State Refrigeration Machine Operators License Q-01
New York City Fire Department Certificates for various operations and maintenance
