Position Overview

We’re seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our PRN Float team . In this role, you’ll work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care across multiple units.

As a Float RN, you’ll bring flexibility, critical thinking, and a commitment to excellence while adapting to various clinical settings and patient needs. This position is ideal for nurses who thrive in a dynamic environment and are passionate about making a meaningful impact in patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized, evidence-based nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Collaborate with physicians, care managers, and team members to ensure coordinated, safe, and effective patient care.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families, providing education and emotional support.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with policies and standards.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability when floating across different departments and patient populations.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and uphold patient safety goals.
• Serve as a mentor or preceptor to new nurses, promoting a positive and professional practice environment.
• Participate in professional development, shared governance, and ongoing competency assessments.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Required)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of recent direct patient care experience (Required)
• Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia or a Multi-State Compact license
• Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (Required)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (Required or provisional)
  • National Specialty Certification preferred
