Key Responsibilities

  • Greets and welcomes patients in person
  • Collects demographic and insurance information
  • Checks in or interviews patients to complete appropriate paperwork
  • Directs patients to their appointment or procedure
  • May assist in scheduling add-on appointments
  • Verifies eligibility and benefits information for payers
  • Obtains signatures from patients as needed
  • Collects co-pay or deductibles and responds to financial assistance questions
  • Uses resources, tools, and procedures to complete accounts in assigned work queues
  • Assists patients in the completion of request for information forms
  • May gather medical record information from all departments

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ months of customer service experience in an office/hospital setting
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to work Monday - Thursday, from 9:00am - 1:00pm
  • Ability to work every other weekend, from 6:30am - 3:00pm
  • Ability to work standard daytime hours for the first 3 weeks after hire
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Preferred Qualifications

  • Revenue cycle experience
  • General office experience
  • Flexibility to occasionally work other shifts as business requires
