Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Examine, diagnose, and consult for patients
Prescribe courses of treatment
Perform surgeries for Soldiers, retirees, and family members
Participate in continued education programs and trainings
Collaborate with fellow general surgeons
Required Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school
Current license to practice medicine in the U.S., District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico
Eligibility for board certification
Completion of at least one year of approved Graduate Medical Education (GME) internship
Completion of a training program in general surgery
U.S. citizenship for Active Duty
Permanent U.S. residency for Army Reserve
Preferred Qualifications
Foreign medical graduates with a permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates
