Volt is immediately hiring a Lab Research Chemist Engineer with Minitab experience in Brookings, South Dakota, with a well-known industry leader.

This is a first shift position.

As a Lab Research Chemist Engineer you will:

  • Work with moderate work direction and can identify issues/problems but may need assistance in resolving.
  • Assumes leadership of Quality Department projects and supports statistical needs of Medical Surgical business.
  • Responsible for Identifying, planning, recommending and completing technical projects, supporting all business activities in experimental design and data analysis.
  • Performs engineering work related to planning, devising, or adapting methods to improve manufacturing production.
  • Examines equipment, processes, operations, and assembly to determine time or quality revisions and suggests improvements.

Estimated Duration 24+ months

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have Statistical expertise in design of experiments, sampling plans, test method validation, process validation, ANOVA, t-tests, control charts and similar
  • Minitab expertise
  • Basic project management skills (PM certification not expected or required)
  • Prior experience in health care manufacturing preferred
  • BS or MS in Statistics, Engineering, Math

Pay Rate: $47.32 per hour
