Key Responsibilities
Oversee behavioral care and pathway planning for animals in ARC and CARE
Ensure high quality, low stress patient care
Lead a team of behavior experts
Collaborate on research projects related to animal behavior
Manage and coach team members
Maintain communication with veterinary and behavior colleagues
Required Qualifications
3+ years’ experience in people management
Master’s or PhD degree in animal Behavior or related discipline (non-veterinary candidates)
DVM degree from AVMA accredited veterinary school with NY State license (veterinary candidates)
Ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced environments
Experience working with behaviorally and medically compromised animals
Comfort with humane euthanasia decisions and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing/overseeing research projects
Experience writing scientific publications for peer-reviewed journals
