Job Description

Join Medical City Dallas as a Clinical Nurse Coordinator in Pediatrics on the night shift. Key Responsibilities

  • Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care
  • Participates in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork
  • Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary
  • Supports the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies
  • Provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff
  • Assists with staff scheduling and manages all practical aspects of staff labor
  • Supports proper inventory control and assists with managing supplies and equipment

Required Qualifications

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Required
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
  • Must be a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas
  • Associate Degree in Nursing is required
  • BSN is required within 24 months of hire/transfer
  • Must have prior experience in a supervisory capacity as a Charge nurse or similar
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in an acute care environment in specialty area
