Job Description
Join Interstate Waste Services as a Diesel Mechanic, where you'll perform vital maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty diesel vehicles. You'll be part of a progressive company that values safety and employee well-being while serving a diverse clientele.
Key Responsibilities
Perform inspection, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, and repair of vehicles and equipment
Utilize diagnostic software to interpret failure modes and assign repairs
Assist with emergency breakdowns as needed
Required Qualifications
At least 18 years of age
Legally eligible to work in the United States
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)
Experience with heavy duty diesel equipment or training from a recognized trade school
Ability to speak and read English proficiently
Ability to meet physical and safety requirements
Ability to provide own tools
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years experience as a heavy duty Diesel Mechanic
Experience with DPF systems and diagnostic software (e.g., Premium Tech Tool, Allison transmission)
