The Lead Teacher provides direction for the childcare classroom and implements the program curriculum while providing a quality experience to children and parents that focuses on the YMCA core values of honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring. Essential Functions of the Lead Teacher Builds personal and meaningful relationships with childcare families while exemplifying the Y's commitment to the four-character values of caring, honesty, respect & responsibility. As a full-time employee you must be dependable, and you will be expected to build consistency and stability in the classroom for the children in your care. Supervise children, classroom and all activities. Make ongoing, systemic observations and evaluations of each child. Maintain program site and equipment.
