Essential Functions of the Lead Teacher
Builds personal and meaningful relationships with childcare families while exemplifying the Y's commitment to the four-character values of caring, honesty, respect & responsibility.
As a full-time employee you must be dependable, and you will be expected to build consistency and stability in the classroom for the children in your care.
Supervise children, classroom and all activities.
Make ongoing, systemic observations and evaluations of each child.
Maintain program site and equipment.
Attend and participate in family nights, program activities, staff meetings and staff training (18 hours per year)

Ability to perform duties with professionalism, enthusiasm, kindness, empathy, care, honesty, and respect.
# Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
# 18 ECE Credits
# CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire date.
# At least 1 year of experience working with children in a developmental setting preferred.
# An associate degree or higher in ECE or equivalent
#3 or more years of experience working in a licensed childcare facility.
