Job Description
Join Chuy's as a Food and Beverage Manager and lead a high-volume scratch kitchen. You'll manage staffing, food costs, and uphold quality, all while enjoying a diverse and fun culture with great benefits.
Key Responsibilities
Full accountability for food cost, food waste, BOH staffing and wages, HACCP, production, pars, orders, and cleanliness
Supervises and partners with the Assistant Kitchen Manager (AKM) to run and maintain the kitchen
Ensures that the restaurant kitchen is properly staffed
Follows, teaches, and maintains Chuy's procedures and recipes to ensure food quality and safety
Maintains pars, inventory, and orders
Ensures that kitchen equipment is working properly
Participates in hiring and training of new staff and managers
Ensures that cleaning standards are maintained
Oversees and creates schedules for kitchen staff
Works within a budget to maintain costs and minimize waste
Required Qualifications
At least 3-5 years of kitchen management experience in a high-volume full-service restaurant in a scratch kitchen
Strong culinary knowledge and love of food
Ability to handle multiple tasks
Leadership and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail
Financial understanding of sales, costs of sales and labor
Preferred Qualifications
Bi-lingual (Spanish)
Familiarity with a variety of kitchen equipment and its maintenance
A willingness to run occasional front of house shifts
