Job Description
Join Chesapeake Oncology Hematology Associates as a Patient Accounts Representative and play a vital role in managing patient accounts, ensuring accurate billing, and providing exceptional customer service. Ideal candidates will have strong insurance knowledge and experience in healthcare finance.
Key Responsibilities
Demonstrate a solid working knowledge of insurance processes
Accurately record payments and apply them to patient accounts
Conduct regular reviews of patient accounts to identify discrepancies
Interact with patients to address billing inquiries and negotiate payment plans
Initiate collection efforts for past-due accounts
Maintain detailed records of interactions and transactions
Ensure compliance with healthcare billing regulations
Generate regular reports on accounts receivable status
Required Qualifications
Previous experience in a similar role within healthcare finance or billing
Strong understanding of insurance processes and healthcare billing regulations
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Proficient in relevant software applications for billing and financial record-keeping
