Department Of Neurosurgery - Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Managing neurosurgical brain and spine patients on the floor, stepdown, and ICU settings
• Intake H&Ps, progress notes, consultations, pre- and post-operative care, and discharges
• Providing neurosurgical consultations in the hospital and emergency department
• Performing bedside procedures: external ventricular drains, ICP monitors, lumbar drains, shunt taps
• First assisting the attending neurosurgeon in the operating room in brain and spine surgeries
• Providing per diem coverage on weekdays, weeknights, weekends, and holidays based on service needs
