Job Description
Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian to lead a dedicated team providing quality veterinary care to underserved communities. Key Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery at the ASPCA’s CVC
Train veterinarians in HQHVSN techniques and other medical protocols
Support a positive work culture through regular feedback and recognition
Perform pre-surgery examinations and high volume spay/neuter procedures
Provide compassionate veterinary care to underserved areas
Schedule staff for optimal coverage and participate in medical meetings
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
Demonstrate true leadership abilities in challenging situations
Excellent work attendance record
Fear Free® Shelter certification within 60 days of hire
