Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery at the ASPCA’s CVC
  • Train veterinarians in HQHVSN techniques and other medical protocols
  • Support a positive work culture through regular feedback and recognition
  • Perform pre-surgery examinations and high volume spay/neuter procedures
  • Provide compassionate veterinary care to underserved areas
  • Schedule staff for optimal coverage and participate in medical meetings

Required Qualifications

  • Current California State Veterinary License
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
  • Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
  • Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
  • Demonstrate true leadership abilities in challenging situations
  • Excellent work attendance record
  • Fear Free® Shelter certification within 60 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous people management experience
