ER RN Job Details

• Location: Johnson City, NY 13790 (New York healthcare opportunity)
• Facility: Main Tower Emergency Department
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing – Emergency Room
• Start Date: December 1, 2025
• End Date: February 28, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 4 shifts per week (48 hours/week), every other weekend required
• Guaranteed Hours: 48 per week
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2100 - $2250

Emergency Room Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience in ER settings required
• Demonstrated expertise in trauma, STEMI, stroke, sepsis, and pediatric emergency care
• Strong collaboration, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Professional certification in emergency nursing (CEN) or related specialty preferred

ER RN Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency room patients
• Serve as primary or accountable nurse for assigned patients in the ER
• Educate patients and families on health promotion, disease management, and emergency care protocols
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Ensure compliance with nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and hospital policies
• Participate in unit councils, quality improvement initiatives, and peer review practices
• Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education for ER nurses
• Support onboarding and training of new employees and nursing students
• Perform Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator duties as assigned
