Join Verizon as an Outside Plant Technician where you'll ensure our outside facilities operate at maximum efficiency. You'll be responsible for maintaining plant facilities, performing construction work, and collaborating with your team to drive innovation and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Placing, rearranging and removing outside plant including various types of cables and poles
Connecting wires and cables to terminals and attaching/detaching hardware
Reading and interpreting engineering work orders
Performing construction work using designated equipment
Operating Company motor vehicles to transport equipment
Climbing ladders and poles, working aloft, and lifting items generally not exceeding 100 lbs
Working evenings, weekends, holidays and unscheduled shifts
Required Qualifications
Valid state driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL
Preferred Qualifications
A related Associate Degree
2 or more years of relevant work experience
