Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (2x12s, 24 hrs/week)

• Weekend: Every Other Weekend/Holiday Rotation if scheduled

• Call: None

Position Overview

The L&D Registered Nurse demonstrates clinical competence by utilizing the nursing process. The RN assesses and identifies patient problems/needs, establishes a plan of care, implements interventions, and evaluates and revises the patient plan based on progress.

The Speare OB Unit manages high-risk pregnancy care, including but not limited to:

• Preterm Labor

• High Blood Pressure

• Diabetes

• VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean Section)

• Prenatal Testing

• Amniocentesis

• Childbirth Education Classes

Requirements

• Current OB/L&D experience – Required

• CAH experience – Strongly encouraged

• Postpartum (PP), Maternal/Baby (MB), and Lactation experience

• Apgar testing experience

• Certifications:

  • AWHONN

  • BLS (AHA)

  • NRP
