Key Responsibilities
Conducts infection surveillance and trend analysis
Develops and updates infection control policies and protocols
Educates and provides coaching on infection prevention best practices
Leads outbreak investigations and recommends corrective actions
Collaborates with Employee Health to manage occupational exposures
Performs Infection Control Risk Assessments (ICRAs)
Maintains infection-related documentation and reports communicable diseases
Participates in regulatory survey preparation and audits
Supports performance improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or a degree in epidemiology or microbiology
Understanding of hospital epidemiology and clinical/environmental microbiology
Familiarity with sterilization, disinfection, and sanitation practices
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred; required within one year of hire
