Key Responsibilities
Complete and assure the accuracy of Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments
Determine Patient Driven Payment Method (PDPM) for potential admissions
Monitor Case Mix Index (CMI) scores for reimbursement risks
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations for MDS completion
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for accurate data collection
Provide ongoing education to facility staff and leaders
Required Qualifications
Valid state RN nursing license
Direct care in a long-term care setting
Strong organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree or certification
Experience as MDS Coordinator, Clinical Reimbursement Specialist, or Nurse Assessment Coordinator
Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing the MDS
