Key Responsibilities
Perform respiratory therapeutic procedures including oxygen therapy and mechanical ventilation
Conduct pulmonary diagnostic procedures such as pulmonary function testing
Assess patient respiratory status and develop care plans
Implement physician orders and ensure timely delivery of interventions
Document all assessments and interventions in medical records
Monitor and adjust respiratory equipment for patient safety
Provide education to patients and families regarding respiratory care
Serve as Lead RCP in absence of a supervisor
Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License
Current BCLS (AHA) certificate
Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree
Preferred Qualifications
2 years experience as a RCP
ACLS certificate
NRP certificate
PALS certificate
