Key Responsibilities

  • Greets patients as they arrive and manages wait time
  • Handles patient check-in and check-out tasks including insurance verification
  • Collects co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles
  • Manages cashier box and daily deposits
  • Processes walk-in patients and visitors
  • Answers phones and schedules appointments
  • Maintains and manages medical records
  • Establishes effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of customer service experience with strong communication skills both in person and via phone
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of related medical office work experience, including data entry
  • 1+ years of working knowledge of general office procedures
  • Experience with EMR computer applications
  • ICD 10 and CPT coding experience
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology
  • Bilingual Spanish/English
