Key Responsibilities
Assigns staff according to policies and ensures equal distribution of duties
Completes rounds to assess residents and resident care
Communicates concerns to the Director of Nursing
Manages and disciplines staff as necessary
Promotes responsibility and accountability among staff
Develops measurable staff goals
Directs and manages direct patient care
Documents and communicates care plans
Maintains working knowledge of emergency procedures
Completes monthly QAPI and monitors pharmacy recommendations
Required Qualifications
Current RN license in the state
Two years of long-term care supervisory experience
Three to five years of long-term care experience or similar nursing experience
Excellent communication skills
Ability to manage time and organize daily schedule
Ability to stand and walk for long periods
Ability to lift heavy objects
Ability to transfer and move residents
Manual dexterity and coordination
Ability to perform necessary documentation
Visual acuity
Ability to manage a diversity of activities
