Job Description
Join ECHN as a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist, where you'll evaluate and treat patients to improve or restore their speech and language functions. Collaborate in an interdisciplinary approach while also contributing to community education and student training.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluates patients based on departmental standard
Conducts and modifies evaluations based on patient's symptoms and medical status
Treats patients with appropriate therapeutic techniques
Administers physical agents and manual therapy to achieve goals
Educates patients/families in home exercise programs
Documents in accordance with insurance guidelines
Seeks and fosters interdepartmental communication regarding patient care
Supervises at least one affiliated student per year
Attends continuing education courses to improve treatment techniques
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited program of Speech Language Pathology with a minimum of a M.S.
Holds or is eligible for current Connecticut license
Eligible or has a Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association
Valid drivers' license for occasional travel between ECHN business sites
