You'll help patients regain strength, mobility, and independence, enhancing their quality of life through tailored therapeutic programs.
Key Responsibilities
Assess/screen patient's daily living/work-related skills and develop therapeutic retraining programs
Confer with the patient's physician and healthcare team members
Provide therapeutic treatment and instruction to patients
Review/expand retraining programs
Consult with vocational team members for patient plans
Report patient status and progress
Participate in care coordination and discharge planning
Design community reintegration activities
Recommend/design special adaptive equipment
Train staff and family members on retraining programs
Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistant and Home Health Aide performance
Document patients' care observations and evaluations
Required Qualifications
Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program
Current and unrestricted OT licensure
Current CPR certification
Good organizational and communication skills
A valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
A minimum of six months of occupational therapy experience
Home Health experience
