Job Description
As a Behavioral Intervention Specialist Level 1, you will design and implement behavior management programs for individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring compliance with OPWDD regulations. You will assess behavioral challenges, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and contribute to the well-being of your clients through proactive strategies and support.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and monitor Behavior Management Programs
Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
Develop Individualized Behavior Support Plans (BSPs)
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in clinical or treatment field of psychology, social work, school psychology, or applied psychology
Documented training in assessment techniques and behavior support plan development
At least three years of experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities
Preferred Qualifications
National board certification in Behavior Analyst (BACB)
NYS license as a Behavior Analyst (LBA)
NYS license in mental health counseling
