Job Description

Join Kaiser as a Chemical Dependency Recovery Counselor III, where you will provide essential addiction treatment and psychotherapy to patients and their families. You will play a crucial role in assessment, treatment planning, and team collaboration, helping individuals navigate their recovery journeys.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answers and triages patient calls for information, treatment services, and crisis calls
  • Provides higher level assessment for various diagnoses and evaluations
  • Performs intake and psychosocial assessments
  • Develops and presents treatment plans to the treatment team
  • Participates in clinical case conferences
  • Conducts chemical dependency focused educational lectures
  • Provides individual and group counseling services
  • Provides therapy for adolescents, significant others, families, and multi-family groups
  • Offers case management services including resource and referral coordination
  • May mentor CDRP/S Counselors I and II, student interns, and licensure candidates

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of two (2) years post graduate relevant supervised addiction medicine therapy experience within the last five (5) years
  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or other field related to behavioral health
  • Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California) OR Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California) OR Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
