Join Verizon as an Outside Plant Technician and ensure our outside facilities operate at peak efficiency. You'll work on various tasks, including cable installation and construction, while being part of a team that values innovation and community.
Key Responsibilities
Placing, rearranging and removing outside plant cables and associated hardware
Connecting wires and cables to terminals
Reading and interpreting engineering work orders
Performing construction work using designated equipment
Operating Company motor vehicles to transport equipment
Climbing ladders and poles, working aloft, and lifting items generally not exceeding 100 lbs
Working evenings, weekends, holidays and unscheduled shifts as needed
Required Qualifications
Valid state driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL
Preferred Qualifications
A related Associate Degree or 2 or more years of relevant work experience
Completed Verizon Technician Program or similar programs covering electrical or lineman training
