Key Responsibilities
Consult on inpatient glycemia management
Educate patients, families, caregivers, and providers on diabetes management and prevention
Support diabetes-related technology including continuous glucose monitoring and insulin pumps
Deliver personalized care and customized education based on patient needs
Lead planning and implementation of staff development programs
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Health related field of Nutrition & Dietetics
Alaska Dietitian License within 6 months of hire
Alaska Nutritionist License within 6 months of hire
Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) upon hire
CDR Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration upon hire
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Health related field of Nutrition & Dietetics
Coursework/Training - Health Educator
3 years experience providing diabetes education in a multi-disciplinary clinical setting
3 years experience as a healthcare professional in a hospital inpatient setting
