Job Description

Join Boeing as a Senior Electrophysics/Electromagnetics Engineer - Scientist, where you'll lead the design and validation of electromagnetic systems for defense and aerospace, ensuring compliance and innovation in technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and validate electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electromagnetic interference (EMI) requirements
  • Perform E3 program planning and author E3 support documentation
  • Conduct trade studies, modeling, simulation, and computational electromagnetic analysis
  • Define and conduct tests to validate performance of designs
  • Manage supplier electromagnetic testing for compliance

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 9+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor's degree OR 7+ years with a Master's OR 3+ years with a PhD
  • Engineering experience with EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility), EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) or E3 (Electromagnetic Environmental Effects)
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • B.S Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Physics
  • Experience with relevant aircraft electromagnetic standards: MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, RTCA DO-160
  • Experience in Aerospace & Defense Industry and/or the military
  • Experience performing computational electromagnetic analysis (FEKO, Cosite, ANSYS, CST)
  • Experience leading a team of engineers
