Job Description
Join Optum as a Patient Services Representative in Rock Hill, NY, where you'll enhance patient care by providing outstanding customer service and supporting healthcare operations. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring efficient patient registration, appointment scheduling, and payment processing while working in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and register patients promptly and courteously
Schedule and manage patient appointments
Collect and post payments from patients
Verify patient demographic and insurance information
Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to HIPAA standards
Assist in training new staff
Communicate effectively with clinical staff
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
1+ years of customer service or healthcare related experience
Intermediate level of computer proficiency
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as a receptionist in a healthcare setting
Experience working with electronic health records
Experience working with scheduling programs
Knowledge of medical terminology
