Manage training, competencies, scheduling, and operations within the phlebotomy department
Occasionally perform specimen collections as needed
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Completion of an accredited phlebotomy/medical assistant program with clinical rotations or previous phlebotomy experience
Certification from nationally recognized agency in Phlebotomy, Medical Laboratory Assistant, Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology
Clinical laboratory experience as a Phlebotomist or related positions within a clinical laboratory
Preferred Qualifications
Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technician with knowledge of phlebotomy practices
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science
Five (5) or more years as a phlebotomist or in a technical laboratory position
