Job Description

Join Raytheon's mechanical design team as a Senior Principal Engineer focused on Low Observable technology, where you'll tackle cutting-edge projects that enhance national security. This role offers the chance to work on all phases of development and testing in a collaborative, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform stealth design, analysis, computational electromagnetics, and testing
  • Develop proposals and Basis of Estimate (BOE)
  • Conduct RCS predictions and document test activities
  • Work in integrated product teams to incorporate signature control techniques
  • Present results to internal and external customers
  • Support all aspects of the design team’s efforts
  • Occasional travel for business, training, and conferences

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Ten years of engineering experience including Low Observable (LO) technology or Radar Cross Section or Computational Electromagnetic Codes (CEM)
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with LO targets on ground plane ranges
  • Absorber material treatments/design and testing experience
  • Academic or applied experience in RF testing techniques
  • Understanding of electromagnetic fundamentals
  • Experience in infrared signature analysis and control
  • Programming expertise in C++, MATLAB, or other technical languages
  • Advanced radar system development or test experience
  • Strong presentation skills
