Job Description
Join Raytheon's Flight Avionics Team as a Principal GPS Systems Engineer, where you'll drive the development of advanced GPS electronics solutions for missile systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers, leveraging your expertise to ensure compliance and performance in creating cutting-edge guidance electronics.
Key Responsibilities
Develop GPS electronics solutions for missile products
Architect new electronic systems and document subsystem requirements
Conduct peer reviews and presentations
Interface with suppliers to ensure compliance
Support multiple programs and travel as needed
Collaborate within multi-disciplined teams
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience in electrical hardware development
Experience in developing RF electrical subsystems
Active and transferable US Government issued security clearance
U.S. citizenship
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with missile radar and RF seeker subsystems
Background in detailed design and troubleshooting of RF components
Experience with GPS and IMU navigation subsystems
Knowledge of M-Code
Familiarity with Matlab scripting
Experience with hardware integration and environmental testing
Ability to lead cross-functional teams
Knowledge of DOD Hardware development process
Experience in developing proposals
Knowledge of Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)
