Job Description

Join Raytheon's Flight Avionics Team as a Principal GPS Systems Engineer, where you'll drive the development of advanced GPS electronics solutions for missile systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers, leveraging your expertise to ensure compliance and performance in creating cutting-edge guidance electronics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop GPS electronics solutions for missile products
  • Architect new electronic systems and document subsystem requirements
  • Conduct peer reviews and presentations
  • Interface with suppliers to ensure compliance
  • Support multiple programs and travel as needed
  • Collaborate within multi-disciplined teams

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience in electrical hardware development
  • Experience in developing RF electrical subsystems
  • Active and transferable US Government issued security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with missile radar and RF seeker subsystems
  • Background in detailed design and troubleshooting of RF components
  • Experience with GPS and IMU navigation subsystems
  • Knowledge of M-Code
  • Familiarity with Matlab scripting
  • Experience with hardware integration and environmental testing
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of DOD Hardware development process
  • Experience in developing proposals
  • Knowledge of Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)
